A lot of people call any pre-1965 Ford tractor a 9N or an 8N (but never a 2N!). A lot of people call any 1953-1962 Ford with the "cyclops" emblem a Jubilee. They just know what they've heard them called in the past by others and they are not as concerned with being correct like some of us are.

Thats like any yellow, tail wheel airplane is called a "Piper Cub" It could be a $150,000 Cub Crafters PA18 Super Cub and it's still the same. Guess all of our tractors are destined to be called 8N forever.

Yep-well said-- u hit the nail on the head..and u
are right-Forever....at least 1/4 of folks don't
know what they have..most can't even find the serial
number much less read a 9 line chart to see what
year it is..

I have found folks don't go to a auction with no money in there pockets unless they bring there cosigner with them... Folks do go with money in there pockets and will spend it... Does it matter what you call it its a tractor and a draw card for sure...

I understand why you posted it
