Brother using Dad's 2N today for deer plot discing and driveway leveling--was doing fine then stuck and won't go down--who u reckon he called? Anyway told him to remove the side cover and unstick the control valve--I hope-I think that will b the only problem--it did this several yrs ago and I unstuck it and it has been fine Until Now...Pump has been knocking some for years but keeps on ticking..

I know a guy who has a 2N that he only uses in the winter.
Rest of the year it sets in the shed.
Every year when he gets it out the lift works fine unless he
lifts it all the way up, then it tends to stick there.
He pushes the lever down, shuts it off and goes in for coffee.
When he finishes his cup of Joe, the lift is down and he's good
to go again. It does that about twice a year and then it seems
to be good for the season. He asked me how to fix it.
I suggested: more use, don't raise it all the way up, or drink
more coffee! LOL I hope it all works out for you guys! :)

I had a 52 8n that did that, it would do it only once after sitting for a long time. as soon as it came down I was good to go. 3 yrs. ago my 2n lift stopped working, wouldn't go up, I needed the tractor for the fel. and didn't need the the 3 pt. lift so I let it go till spring when I tried it in the spring it worked great it was even smoother going up then ever and stays up longer. Still works smooth, go figure. dirt in the relief valve maybe?

You know it could be the control arms have become disconnected from the control valve.

I had told my Brother to let it sit and cool off then try moving the lever up and down several times just to see if it might pop loose..He tried that this evening and it worked...............
