Here are a few photos of my 1942 Ford 2N and trailer getting ready for a Fall Hayride next weekend!

Pretty slick; looks like the hay is on fire! :D

Glad to see you've got a vertical exhaust.

Nice,

Be careful, might check your farm or home owners insurance policy to be sure you are covered if there is an accident.

Just be sure the old tractor brakes are in top condition, you only want fun, not problems.

We used old corn wagons with higher side boards.

Have fun,

If I may be so presumptuous as to add what Maxwell said . . .

The way your trailer is constructed, it would be quick and easy to bolt on three short uprights down each side (one on each corner)
and then string a nice soft rope rail all around.

Other than that, I'm sure you'll make sure everyone has their legs in the middle.

Have a joyful time!

Terry

Really neat thing you are doing. I sure wouldn't do a hay ride with my '52 8N with the brakes this little unit has........Got to address this sometime.

(quoted from post at 06:42:03 10/17/14) Bet you can hear the machine guns when they have the "Knob Creek Machine Gun Shoot"

Not quite. They're about 30 mins from my place. Knob Creek is down in a hole anyway.

I think they just had it or it is very soon. Always wanted to go, but never had a chance. I would be nice renting a 50 for a few minutes anyway, if I could afford the rounds...

But Fort Knox is another thing. Much closer.

BE Careful !!! A hayride vehicle pulling a trailor just like yours lost control due to mechanical failure and went down a steep incline and hit a tree killing 1 girl and injuring several others. :D
