Tractor did fine, potatoes not so well. :(
Not a big loss, didn't have many planted.
Here's a couple pics of the old 9N.

Where's the taters? Were you so ashamed you didn't even take a pic? No worries, my corn this year was pretty whimpy. I think I'm gonna have to dose the ground with a good load chicken litter and share a little of that fresh country air with the neighbors. :D

I use stabilizer bars, see the brackets under the fenders?
I just didn't put them on for what little I had to do today.
It was all in straight lines. LOL :)

Did ya chop the taters with it? Ya know
chopped taters cook up and tast just as
good as not....lol... Do u put weight in
it to make it dig down deeper?

LOL they taste the same, diced too! :)
No need for weight. Shorten the top link a little and it digs.
Digs in all the way to the hilt. Enough to stop the tractor and
make the loaded rear tires spin if you're not paying attention.
Don't shorten the top link too far or it will flip over forward.

Neighbors will love u for it..Such a sweet aroma on
a good hot day.Put a whole tlr load of horse
fertilizer on flowers beside a sidewalk at plant I
managed years ago--long sidewalk--lots of fertilize-
very distinct odor---Very Few Salesmen for several
weeks till got a good rain and settled down the
smell....Every seed those horses had ever eaten came
up in the flower bed...Had prettiest flowers in
town--everybody wanted to know the recipe......

:D When i worked for a big farmer we hauled liquid hog manure 1500 gallons at a time till we went to a 3000+ plus spreader. Now THAT was the way to haul manure and influence friends! I sh*t you not!! lolThey always wanted to come into the fields and try to take over land for gardens ,etc ,should have spread through their back yards lol But back then we could legally go to the fence!! lol DId you go back with a shovel and dig around more for the taters? It looks to me like that thing would have damaged a lot. I think there is a one row tater digger that will be more gentle on you crop. Good luck next year and be safe! :D

When using my 'potato plow' one year with the dirt rock hard...
same results....'well, this ain't good.'
Backed up 20' from the end of the row, got the plow dug in all the way, and just before I got to the plants, I seriously dropped the hammer on the 860. Wailed down the row with potatoes FLYING
everywhere! LOL sure was fun
