I have a good 9N hood that a fellow would like to buy. It's in good
shape, not rusty or dented. What is one worth? Thanks

local yard gets 250 and up depending on condition for an original N hood with doglegs.
Original grills are just as bad. $100 minimum, pristine ones far more.
I won't pay that price, but he always sells em.(He's got a nice one now, hood, doglegs, grill...$500...ouch)
Way easier for me to just buy the whole tractor under em, some swapping parts here and there, and sell it.

I just sold a script hood that had I small spot on the side towards the back that was starting to rust for 150. Sold a dogleg for it for 35. I try to be fair in pricing as most people are on a tight budget.

Condition is always a good indicator on value. Now, early 9Ns had an aluminum hood but I doubt if that's what you have, is it? Those are rare and in decent shape would be $$$. The aluminum hoods were replaced with steel ones after about the first 700/800 tractors but both used a snap=-in battery access door -they were not hinged. So, if yours has any of those features, makes it a little more valuable than the later steel hoods.
