Tisco Paint hardener and reducer

Just got a gallon of Tisco (Vansickle) dark grey to paint my 2N
Trying to sort out what reducer and hardener to use.
Can calls for mineral spirits for reducer, but here on the board I see a lot of people using xylene. Also, I need a hardener compatible with this paint. Cant find Vansickle hardener anywhere.
Thanks
Corey

if it like mineral spirits.. i'd likely an alkyd or syn alkyd paint. that means it usually likes naptha for a faster reducer than mineral spirits.

when i spray alkyd, i spray using naptha as a reducer.. if I heavy oat the cast with a brush, i use mineral spirits.

As for hardner, the valspar hardner or quick cure nason hardner should work for that paint.

I'd save the xylene for acrilic/modified paints, it would probably be mor ethan fine as a medium reducer replacement for naptha on that paint though.

and lastly. always test paint and reducer compatibility in a small cup. occasionally you get a paint / reducer mismatch and get clumping or drop out.

Van Sickle makes their own hardener. Should be in the same aisle where you bought the paint.
