9N Valve removal

I am overhauling a 9N engine and I am to the point to remove the valves and the clip that holds them in place. I have the camshaft removed and the lifters removed. I have 2 of the 8 valves removed, but the others seem to be sealed in there pretty tight. I did buy a "How to Video" and used a modified screwdriver to push up on the valves to remove the first two, but cannot even budge the rest. I am looking for any tips on removing them. Thanks.

I had 4 or 5 of the valve guides that gave me problems removing. I used PB Blaster top and bottom. Once the camshaft and tappets were removed it was pretty easy. I pryed the valve head up until the stem bottomed out on the guide then put a shim in to hold it there. Turned the block over ( I assume you have it on an engine stand ) and using a brass drift pin I went through the tappet hole and gave the bottom of the valve retainer a couple of good raps and it freed the guides up enough that I could work them out.
