If you were looking for a buggy, sleigh or other horse related
items that second auction might get your attention!
I would probably go to the first one. It has more tractors of
the age/style that I prefer.
It might be interesting to see the 641 with front 3 PT.

I would go to the first one. has more tractors.

I did notice the first auction lists a 1953 8n. I'm guessing it is a 51-52.

The second auction has a jubilee. If thats what your interested in you better check and make sure it is a 53 jubilee and not a 54 NAA. Auctioneers like to call both 53's and 54's as jubilee's.

Lisa, The one in ND may be hit or miss. Lot of the old small stuff sells cheap sometimes because of lack of population and the size of farms out there. But with all the old stuff listed that's going to be a special interest auction. So it could be good for you, or bad.

On the other hand the 1st one offers an added bonus. I may be there  ! It's fall. Lot of guys are not going to be buying much with current prices for grain and the summer people are pretty much done for the year. So for the old Fords it could be a good sale for you. I try to get to it every spring and fall. It's about 30 miles from me. I got my hydro swing haybine and 6601 JD combine there. The haybine this past spring and the combine a year ago. When I got the combine a friend got an 8N, finish mower, rear blade and V snow blower for 1,800 bucks.

And unless they go real cheap I will not be bidding on either of the 2 8N's I think are going to be there.

Just went and looked. 2 8N's and a 641 plus a lot of implements. They have a couple of larger tractors I may be interested in.

The auction is just off of US10 about 5 miles west of Perham. You can see it from the highway, south side. They move at a decent pace and will run 2 rings. That can create a problem if you are there solo. If we get much rain it can get very muddy there. But generally well run auctions. Very common for them to get well over 1,000 bidders but some come for the little stuff on the wagons and leave. Others will be there for the lawn and sporting stuff and then leave. When it gets to the tractors there may be 50-150 people there depending on what's listed. Very common for tractor bidders to be 2-3 people bidding per tractor. Last spring they has a lot of larger tractors to include a 4X4. On some they had 5-6 bidders but all went a little on the low side. I really like the Bachmann auctions and attend all that are of interest to me.

Down side is the caterer they normally have in isn't the best I've seen.

Opps, forgot. If you do come and buy more than you can take in a single trip I will let you store whatever at my place until you can pick it up. A 60 mile round trip to drop something off here if needed.

That offer is good for any forum member who is outside the area but want's to attend.

Thanks Rick! Sounds like we'll go to the
first one. Today's not my day to be
working on 8n's. Can't get mine started to
pull his to the shop. we washed and now no
spark imagine that. The other 2 that did
run still haven't fixed the carb and the
other one has a dead battery. I think that
auction will be interesting. We mostly go
to small ones around here.

Hope to see you there! It can be a long one. Depends on how the bidding goes. Supposed to be warm but windy. Overcast with a 10% chance of rain. That means it's gonna rain LOL.

Like I said if needed you can store stuff at my place.

The Bachmann crew is very good about helping to load and generally they have a pay loader and a couple of skid steers to assist. For the consignment auction they even have DMV there for vehicles and trailers that require transfer. Basically as long as it doesn't interfere or endanger anyone they will help you load when you are ready. I should say other than being a customer I have no interest in the Bachmann auction company. But they are one of 2 auction companies that I like.
