NAA Throttle linkage diagram...

Hello all,

Haven't been here in awhile. Ole Chigger is still runnin great.

Have my Dad's '53 Jube. Only one problem. Whoever hooked up the linkage after carb rebuild goofed. You have to keep pulling down on the throttle to keep it running. Let go of thottle handle and it springs up back to idle. Sure is tough to use while one hand is constantly having to keep the throttle lever pulled down against resistance.

Anyone have a diagram of how the linkage should be hooked up? Figure something is just crossed at the carb.

Appreciate the help.

is the spring nut and friction disc present at the bellcrank atop the bellhousing, under battery box..e tc. ??

Hello Sounder,

Thanks for the hit back. I'll check it tomorrow. Saw on Dennis Carpenter the parts your talking about. Looks to be pretty straight forward.

Thanks

Once you see it, operation will be obvious. If spring and friction disc I bad or gone, it will be loisey goosey

Hey Sound Guy,

Looked at it this eve. Comprehend operation. Everything looks to be there but I'm sure it's old. Can I just tighten down the crown nut on the friction spring till throttle handle stays? Should the throttle to control rod spring tension be lessened?

Gonna replace the cork disk also.

Thanks for the support.
