Ford 9N Operating Temperature

I am looking to get my intake/exhaust manifold and muffler/exhaust pipe powder coated. Yeah I want my tractor to look good as well as operate correctly.
My question to you all is how hot does the engine block, intake/exhaust manifold, and tail pipe/muffler get on a properly maintained running Ford 9N at maximum sustained power?
I know it is probably a stupid question but thought I would ask any way because I have not found the answer anywhere else.
Thanks in advance for any replies.

Get a cheapy temp gage from harbor freight and check yours. get one of the infrared light type.

What ever temperature makes the exhaust manifold glow red at night.

Back when I was a 14 year old plowing on a dark night pulling a two disc turning plow I could turn the lights off and still see the furrow from the glow of the manifold.
Believe or not!

I'll get one but would still like to know the normal operating temp for a 9N.
I believe my tractor to be in great operating shape but would like to have a written in stone number to compare it to!

It has been my experience with Chevy engines you can ceramic coat a header. I have used 2 places in Oklahoma City, both give lifetime warranties, and you will need it. They will get rust pits in a year or two and that was with trikes that never saw rain and were never left outside overnight and always stored inside when not being used... I now use stainless headers so they stay perfect, but they run $1000 a set... Powdercoat is not an option, max temp I believe is around 500 degree f..

Red is around 1400~1500 degrees F.

Don't think you will find a powder or wet coat that will survive that.

My knowledge is from the automotive field but might be of some help.
Starting with the exhaust valve the hottest point is about 1800, as it gets to exhaust manifold it's about 1500 - 1600, when it gets to converter its down to about 1000 - 1200. At muffler about 800 and as exits tail pipe down around 200 or so. These #s came from Car Craft or Hot Rod at least 16-17 years ago. I know many high performance folks use high quality SS headers and/or ceramic coat.
I would think a tractor working runs close to these same #s.
As another stated even the cast iron manifold will get cherry red when working.
I would go with ceramic coating but no idea if comes in differant colors.
