Thinking back about the old mans 2n we worked on last weekend I checked out smiths old ford tractors site to look at pics of the auxillary transmissions. This one is on the right and I "assumed" it was a hupp overdrive...which its not according to the lever. Its also not the dual drive. I believe its the f&t. Does anyone know if those handles were brass? Because the one on his is and it matches the f&t handle.

Looking at the two photos on Smith's site. The photo on the left almost looks like the lever could be brass. it's shaped just slightly different than the lever in the right photo.

I was looking at his parts for sale and he has a lever that looks identical with the smaller ball on the end. Anyhow how common were the f&t?

They weren't very popular since Sherman and Hupp already had the market by the time they came along, and ain't many of them around. The handle on mine is bronze.
