What am I missing?

OK back to you guys. 2N,6v, front mount. Trying to restart after 4 years. Good 6vs to top of coil but no drop off or movement at ammeter. Take distributor off, find no continuity with points closed; they look bad. Buy new Napa CS35 points but even though they look like original I can not get the tang arm to come in contact with cam lobe.
Original points touched cam. New points are closed and no more adjustment left? What the Hxxx am I missing?

Yea, never mind. I went back to workbench and bent the upright support for the fixed points and bingo! You guys help me think!

I'm on my phone away from my xref #s but do the old and new points look the same? Won't be the first time I've found an incorrect part in a box

Good to hear. Some cheap sets need holes filed out too, though Napa are generally good

Agree,filing the holes would have been a better fix.
