(quoted from post at 10:28:23 09/09/14) i don't mind a pickled jalapeno.. and bananna pepers.. bell pepers..e tc. maybee even crushed red peper.. but nothing hot.
My wife likes to eat fresh pepers with chicken, mexican or asian food. Thus i grow chili's bells , jalapenos habenero and a couple others.. ( can't remember the name.. ..uh... peperocinni yeah.. salad pepers. )
i have found that our jalapeno bush makes red and greens.. and I can make it produce hot pepers by wattering it good at bloom, and then just before maturity, scale back onthe water.. not killing or wilting leaves. but just enough to keep the plant going. turns the pepers into paint strippers.
wife wanted an orange a hab last night. I cut it up.. ran my hands under water and went to relieve myself. about 5m later.. good lord!
I hopped intot he shower and soaped up.. then applied a mix of alo gel, hydrocortisone and diaper rash cream!
took about 10m for the heat to stop.
during my nightly trip for bladder draining i checked and was relieved to see that nothing burnt off and no permanent damage!
