TSX428...53Jube, and TSX580 NAA..& early 600 series, are listed as 2 1/4" stud to stud centers. (134CI engines)
Problem with using them on the "N" series.....the carbs hookups are on the opposit sides, but still have the same 2 1/4" stud center to center!!!!

The spread is all over the place for later 600 & 700 series Ford engines especially for use on the 172CI Ford engines.

More info. than ya ask for????? You prob. already know all this anyway!!!????

Yup I knew its a zoo out there for spacing, to make matters worse my machine, an 850 is quite a mutt, it like a few of my machines, I think has a manifold and carb from another ford. Both of my 95x's do as they were propane machines. The carb has no markings but is Ms, so I'm just going by stud spacing and engine size, odd thing on its manifold is the widthh and depth of the slots, it will acomodate 3/8 studs easily! Doest look filed out but rather clean machine work, so I have to use washers under the nuts to hold the carb on.. Never know what you will find on an I'm ford!

ome after-market replacement manifolds have slots, as then they don't have to stock multiple manifolds.....sort of 'one size fits all'....like sox & a few other things I can think of..

yep.. this one has slots and they are wide suckers too. a 1/2" nut will tilt and fall thru without washers present. then you have to clip the side of the washer to make it fit near the manifold neck. :)
