Ok guys, got a new problem. 8n will run for a bit then start cutting out, then die. I can take the front adjustment screw out of the carb and put it back in and it will run ok . Maybe a couple hours maybe 20 minutes. I am thinking gunk in the carb?

When it dies or sputters immediatly get out of the seat and check your spark.
VERIFY that you have a bright bluish white spark that will jump at least 1/4".
Some guys recommend you carry a spark tester in your pocket.
I just pull a plug wire and hold it to the block and turn the engine over.
Only then go on to possible fuel issues.

If your talking about he needle that sits at an angle that is the main jet. Pull it out and also remove the carb drain plug then spray carb cleaner down into that hole with the straw that comes with the can. If it has some junk in the carb causing you a problem that may clean it up

The first thing I thought about was the spark. I have already checked it and it looks good. I just didn't know if I needed to take the carb off and clean it or if there was something else I could do first. I think I will give Old's recommendation a try before I go any further.

Thanks for the help gents.
