Been so wet here in Florida, farmers just did their first cutting!

Wow, that seems really late, many are done with second here.
Maybe a dumb question, but any chance of getting another cutting?

Actually a field nearby me is close to a third
cutting. Had lots of rain here lately and the
humidity helps too.

I hear ya Leo, I think the guy that bales that little 2 acre plot of
mine is about to cut third cutting too. Weird weather this year.

Very likely a 2nd will be possible. Most farmers here only made 1 cut within the last 2 weeks. This guy hadn't even picked them up out of the field yet, they were still where the bailer rolled them out 2 days ago, not wanting to get caught in what is sure to be a minor shortage this year I am starting to grab it early. We loaded in his field, he was using an old forklift with a ford 3 cyl diesel, he ran her dry, 3 bales from finish, his farmhand brought more diesel and we bled her. She had a double head filter and a cab pump, guessing later 3 cyl job. Anywho, grass is up about 6" already, yep plans to fertalize and cut one more time, normally fl can get 3 and sometimes a late partial 4th, if you count weedy fallow pastures and margin areas that usually get cut last for cows, etc.

Man these rolls are heavy and tight, my old 850 is gonna get a workout!, guess its time to go get her running, she's still parked down by the hay pen where I left her in Feb!
