How do you get the ristpins in and out of pistons?

Should be a 'circlip' on either end (in the piston), remove same and you should be able to push them out with your thumb. HTH

Also, if they are varnished up a bit (from heat and oil and combustion products) they can be a bit stubborn.

If they are loose in the piston and move a bit and catch on the varnished area, some spray carb cleaner may help by dissolving the vanish.

Or,if they are simply snug in the aluminum pistons, warm the pistons up a bit with a heat gun or heat lamp.
