Can't get the link posted right on my phone... Its about 4 hrs from me. 1800 is his bottom dollar

I did say that didn't I! I need to stay off craigslist!! It has all new tires and a spare rear rim....he didn't know if the grill was original. Tough decision!

Just my personal opinion here...
Branch out.
Start looking at Hundred or Thousand Series Fords.
They're more interesting, more capable, more reliable and have more options and features.
And if you part them out or fix and sell them you'll make more money too.

plus 3
I have a lot of tractors too, all makes and models.
Ya work on one, you can work on another.
All variations of the same idea.
When I was just fixing, trading N's, one after another, it started
to feel like....a job.
With all colors here, I enjoy my hobby more.

Now for the part that will make people mad, which is not my intent.
$1900 for any early N is too much, even that nice looking one.
That money will put you in a running, working, hundred series if you look and are patient.
Don't get me wrong, N's are fun, and I am looking myself for a decent one at the right price. Right now, I am fresh out of N's.
But once you have 1 or 2, mixing other models in is a good thing.

Not the best of pictures, but I don't see anything special there.
Riveted rear hubs, hoses and wiring appear to have been painted
with the tractor.
New tires are worth quite a bit if you need them.

sometimes I get a picture and sometimes I don't I did not get the picture everyone is talking about on this post, I enjoy pictures ???

The picture is on the CraigsList ad Bob,
Here's a link.

My first original thought was the front grill...but chances are its a repop. I do need the rear tires for the one we just brought home but have decided to pass on this one. No sense in dragging home another tractor just for the rear tires. With deer season coming up and 4 other tractors to work on id be smart to not buy it and focus on what ive got. I suppose till the next good deal shows up!

It smokes , look at the black soot on the rear limiter chain . Someone has taken an old tractor , pressure washed or steam cleaned it , and sprayed with grey paint .

While it looks like a fully functional unit it is probably at the point everything is going to need rebuilt in a year or two . Not bad if thats what a person wants to do , but not so good if a person wants a work tractor for the next ten years .

I paid nearly $300 for a 12.4x28 Firestone Field and Road this spring. Good tires will sure set one back a pretty penny.

Oh yes especially those rears and tubes. Looking at probably close to $1000 for the rears. And I need new 32" rears but I'll have to save up money for them. I wondered if he didn't take it on trade cause he didn't really know much about it when I started questioning him on it. Its a 40 not 39. I certainly wouldn't pay 1900 if it needed a rebuild soon. But its off cl now so I'm assuming he sold it.
