OT: grandaughter's first crop (also posted in talk)

The wife let 2 of my 7 year old granddaughters plan their own row in the garden with anything they wanted. This is one with her first ever harvest.

She was extremely proud of herself!

Congratulations!!! She has learned a life-long lesson that food doesn't come from grocery store shelves; and if things go as bad for the country as some seem determined to make it, she'll be one of the self-sufficient ones. Plus, that's pretty good corn for a one row planting!

LOL she helps with butchering. She helps wrap and mark packages.

Looks like some nice corn! So great when kids want to be involved in gardening instead of glued to electronics!!
