I posted earlier about a broken rear work light with toggle switch. this is on an 48 8n 6volt , the light has a small bulb inside the glass was broken when I got it but had a wire attached to a piece of the 4" wide reflector/bulb? I would like to keep this original equipt.11 but don't know what part no. to order to replace bulb/reflector if this isn't a reflector I don't see what the small bulb does. hope pic. comes thru

Probably like the rear light on the old John Deere tractors. Part of the lens was clear and part was red. Depending on if you wanted a work light or a tail light for night highway use.

If this is an original FORD/CM HALL Worklight, the 'bayonet style' bulb is soldered into place on the reflector base, with a socket making connection and then feeding to the switch. The other side of the switch connects another wire that feeds out the hollow mounting bolt to the power source. The beauty of 6-positive ground is that you only need the one wire power source as the ground is made by the metal. If you want, send me the unit and I can repair.

I haven't tried the 'BAYONET' bulb, it may still work. is this small bulb the only source of light?. if so the 4" glass is just a reflector?.
the metal soldered light bulb for bayonet bulb looks ok and if it is I only need the 4 inch glass. where are you located in case small bulb doesn't work. appreciate your offer

it is possible it was combo red tail light/ work light but I threw away the pieces of glass that wee there and don't remember if there was any red glass. thanx
