..when it starts getting this deep into August, it starts getting 97-100F...and about 60-70% humidity and I just wilt like a flower under that noon day sun. I lose all available energy and just want to go to bed. Too hot to even sit in the shade. I hate going to work this time of the year and having to do anything outside...good grannies! I just can't take the heat anymore and sure not with the danged old high humidity way down here in the south...yuck! Being 58 is starting to suck. I was helping my oldest boy clear up some on the four acres we gave him across the street, last week. I had cut down a large oak tree (the one that hit the power lines and went zap snap poof. I let all the smoke out for the neighborhood at one time...lol. They just reset the line fuses, no damage. Anyway, the dang starter gave out on the 8N and I had to finish cleaning up the large limbs etc ( he had already left ) by hand and I just about died. I was getting so dang weak that I had to lay down on the tailgate of the truck several times. When I finished, I just about could not make myself drive the 200 yards to my house. I don't know, I just start getting shaky and sick feeling. I should have stopped and gotten more water, but I am the sort to just push on through and get done right now. Gonna kill me one day, maybe. I thought getting older meant getting wiser? I seem to be going the other direction...lol It's getting to 98 tomorrow and then 99 Friday and 100 through the weekend. Oh, and the blasted humidity. The red-head has been on my arse about losing 30 lbs, but you how dang hard that is...ice cream is my favorite of course. I guess I am going to have to have a come-to-Jesus-meeting about the belly , or it's lights out for me...arrggghhh! BTW, where did that 30 lbs come from? I just woke up one day and pow....it stuck to me...must be the humidity...yeah, that's it
