what number autolite plug should I use in my side mount dist. 8N? Steiners list a different one for the side mount from the front mount. Why the difference? Looks like I bought the wrong ones at the tractor show yesterday...Thanks.....Fred

We used to use Autolite 216 in the side mounts and Motorcraft AL82 in front mounts but the 437 has proven to be the best choice for both with todays gas.

i've used every cross for h10 and h12 including the al / 216 and 437

all work. the hotter plugs seem to hold up better in worn engines. overall i liked the 437's better.

Autolite 437 in most of mine,
except for one that does the very hard sustained work. 216's in that one.

Nice side benefit is pulling all those 216's out of tractors I buy, I now have a lifetime supply of decent plugs for my old Kohler engines.

I will admit to leaving Champion H12's in some that I buy if they are new looking.....until they give me a reason to change em.
