install of pto overide clutch

Can"t figure out how to get the snap ring back on once the override is on the pto. Can anyone help? I"m sure it"s something simple but I can"t figure it out

Assemble the ORC BEFORE you install the ORC onto the PTO shaft.

As Jmor said.

you do not normally take the ORC apart to install or remove.

you simply unpin and remove.. or install and pin.

no real 'user serviceable' parts inside that type of 'clutch' anyway.

Maybe I need the snap ring to hold my seat together!

to remove/install an ORC, remove both grease fittings. roll the outer portion of the ORC to line up the holes with the retainer roll pin. drive the pin out/in through the holes.

Did you actually disassemble the ORC?

If you did, reassemble it (off the tractor) and do as Grapeview 8N said.
