I DONOT HAVE A SERIAL NUMBER ON THE ENGINE BLOCK.THERE IS A NUMBER ON THE BOTTOM OF OIL PAN 9N7765 OR 9N 6577.DOES THIS MEAN 9N TRACTOR ENGINE.EVERY THING HOOKS UP TO 8N TRACTOR.ALSO THERE IS NO SLEVEES IN CYLINDERS THAT I CAN SEE.I AM LOOKING TO BUY A REBUILT KIP FOR ENGINE,BUT I DON'T KNOW WHICH ONE.WILL PULL PISTONS TO CHECK RINGS AND GO FROM THERE. I NEED HELP IN ID 52 FORD 8N ?

Do you have a side mount distributor with a car-like round can coil?
If so, that would indicate a later model 8N engine.
9N/2N/early 8N had a front mounted distributor with a square
coil mounted on top of it.
It could be a replacement engine with no serial number or one
taken out of an industrial application, etc.
Either way, if it is running without sleeves, I think you'll need to take
some very good measurements to see if stock sleeves will still work.
