Here is a '45 painted with Van Sickle Ford Dark Gray. I think it is probably as good or better than Rustoleum. It is available lots of places in quarts, gallons, and spray cans. Tisco Paint is the same.

I found the same problem in trying to match the color for my 2n. I bought some rustoleum dark machine gray spray and it's still too light. So I bought a qt of the smoke gray and i'll mix some black in until I get the color close enough.

Van Sickle makes a hardener, which I recommend. I follow the recommendations on the can for mixing. I have used HVLP and traditional syphon guns. I get better results with the regular syphon gun.

I just used the Valspar Ford Grey on rims, but not the dark grey.
Valspar has the Massey dark Grey too.
