Have you tried priming the oil pump???

Kind of hard to get to, but...pull this pressure relief plug and pump 80 to 90wt. gear oil into the hole. That will prime the pump.

If still no oil pressure....drain the oil out of the engine and check to make sure the pick-up tube is not loose, as LisaK suggested.

Here is the prime hole is.....(don't loose the spring and or the plunger!!!!

If he's getting non pressurized oil out the op gauge line, sounds primed, but sounds like a galley plug out or something?

It does sound primed but wouldn't a loose pick up tube cause low pressure? Who did the work on the engine? I know when we did my rebuild we packed the oil pump gears on assembly and primed it before start up. If the reason for rebuilding was no oil pressure and u have no oil pressure after s rebuild I can see the problem being the oil galley plug missing. 1 is behind the flywheel the other behind the drive gear on the cam.

and ditto.. when i saw him say that it had no op and now has no op. i wonder if this is a new to him engine someone worked on, and left a plug out then passed the engine on?
