Gasket cement for a head gasket?

I bought a 8N6051A head gasket from this site, it is silver with metal fire rings. The tractor block was recently resurfaced during re-sleeve, rebuild. The head was not. It shows some erosion between center cylinders and was leaking between.

I flat sanded the head pretty well on a granite plate and scraped the copper sealer that I use on the last gasket off the block. Everything is clean and I was ready to shoot the new gasket with several coats of the spray copper cement, then thought to ask here, should I or do dry, or something else?

Hope to reinstall this afternoon any suggestions would be considered, thanks, Ken

Erosion between the center cylinders, if from a head gasket failure, likely affected both the head and the block. I would have the head checked for out-of-flat in this area prior to installation.
