That seat will not fit on an 8N without significant modification. John Korschot did one. He documents it in his web site.

well im not sure if this is a true 9n seat, or an 8n seat modified for a 9n. on Johns site he shows the 9n seat having the long shock in the rear. this tractor has the short shock in the front, which is 8n.
anyway, whats the value?

Monroe made seats for the 9N and 8N but they have different mounting brackets. A seat on a 9N will not fit an 8N without making new brackets.

jesus H Chr*st. I know this already.
not to be rude, but would you either answer the questions I asked as to value, or shut up? I dont need you to continue to tell me something I already know.

Lisa- I can't zoom in enough to get a good look.

I'm waiting for pics from the seller. again here are my questions:

1- what is the value of a seat?

2- did the 9n seat have the large shock in the rear, and the 8n have the short shock in the front? or could it be either way?
please dont reply and tell me how the brackets are different

That is a much more polite answer than I probably would have
posted to such a rude comment. I appreciate you sharing your

knowledge of these old Fords with us.

From what I've read the shorter shock in the front is for the 8n model and the longer shock to the back is 9/2n. I have no idea on value. If I were buying a used on I might pay 50 or so if it was in good working condition.
