One is supposedly a 39 9n the other is a 48 8n wwith step up tranny. He wants a grand for the 8and I think he would take 750 for the 9. Both need a little tinkering. Essentially they are both "non" running tractors. I noticed the 9 doesn't have smooth hubs atleast on the side we can see. Tin looks great and has 32 rears. Should I pay 1700-1750 for for the pair? They've always been shredded and the 8 has 10x28 rears and 1 replaced rear rim. The partial hood on the 9n is in the farmall pic. There is a grill for the 9n not on the tractor.

Different parts of the country again, but to me the 9N
would be worth more than the 8N.
Looks like someone didn't like to clean his cement mixer! :)

ya I noticed that too but I do have the same mixer sitting back with the parts tractor so im not too worried about that. We're going Saturday morning with the trailer to look at them and hopefully take them home I guess. Hard to pass up being only 60 miles from home. Now I just need to stay off craigslist for a long time! If we take them it will bring the total to 1 9n, 5 8n's a jubilee and 1 2n, and a several parts tractors. and we're going the 16 to pick up a 2n with ferguson/Dearborn I forget which plow and cultivator for $1200.....Maybe I should quit my day job and just spend my days with tractors.

This is the 2n we're going to get next weekend. Said it has $800 worth of new parts and he had some major health problems and cant finish it now...This one is a 3 hr drive for us though one way.

I would love to quit my day job and spend all day with tractors,
but that would make it pretty hard for me to pay for the tractors
and the repairs! I don't think I'd make a living jockeying N's. LOL

Maybe you could pick up a few of those Farmalls and that old
truck too! Any idea what the truck is?

I'm not sure but I can find out Saturday. Ive only
ever dealt with fords so I'm a bit unsure on
farmalls. Think I better buy a farm sometime before
I get told no more tractors at my mother in laws.
But I'm pretty good at hiding them behind the trees
in the back yard. Mosquito's keep her out of there!

Lisa I got to say I envy you. I wish I could play more and work less.

With my $2K/month of child support that would net me 24 plus of those machines in a year. I could have lined them up like the Sherman tanks back in the war.

If you can keep getting them at those prices, you ought to become a tractor trader. Nobody around here wants to part with one for less than 2K.

Been a while since Ive seen a Ford N sell. here in nebraska the early 8n's will not bring as much as the late 8n's.

The last consignment auction I went to had a running early 8n and a non running 52 8n. The early sold first. I can't remember for sure. It sold around $1800. The 52 covered in bird crap as it was sold right out of the barn brought over $3000.00.

I have a 1940-41 9n I bought in 99. It was running, but didn't have any front tires. I paid $1100. It only got two bids.
The next day, I ran into the old farmer that had the sale. I asked him how his sale went. He started laughing and told me some damn fool paid $1100 for that Ford tractor! He bought it used in the 50's for $500. He also had a Farmall H he bought new in 46 for $750. It brought $1400
