9N Down the Road

I talked to my neighbor Ray today and he said that he rebuilt the engine 10 years ago and that it only has about 20 hours on the rebuild -- and he is a good rebuilder.

He says it is too small for his needs and that his front end loader is too big and that he has no intention of restoring the N.

The dangling conversation. :)

not intended as picking on 9N-2N's. I've owned quite a few and they were fun.

but,
Tall, you have a NAA right?
Unless you 'really want one',
buying a 9N-2N will be a disappointing step backwards.
Lots of things on a 9N that the manufacturer upgraded on
the path to a NAA....needed it....

Also, you have posted that you are big, right?
With big boots on, that 9N clutch, left brake setup
is just physically impossible........

Sagely advice and I thank you!
Helps me dispel any counterproductive notions as far as my priorities go and my size. I'm 6'7 with size 15 feet.

Remember when I was inquiring about hand operated brakes because of my leg injury? Well it has completely healed. I went for a follow-up xray of my new hip last week and I told the surgeon that I had fallen backwards and slammed to the ground with a tractor implement -- my 6' rake!

Well he goes over to the xray screens and says, "Come and look at this! You cracked your pelvis in two places!" But he said the two 1.5" cracks were healing beautifully.

P.S.
I had an Oliver Crawler for a spell but what scared me about it was having to untangle my feet to dismount the thing -- really crappy design in that respect. I thought that if I ever had to abandon ship, I could have been trapped by that limited foot room.
