pins on the inside?

I am seeing on some equipment, such as a bush hog, that the hook up pins are on the inside instead of the outside. I have always had it so the arms hook up on the outside. Is there some advantage to someone who has the hookup to the inside of the equipment frame?

Subcompact tractors may not have enough room between the
arms to fit, but by having the pins on the inside they can often
use the implement. That's the only reason I can think of.

My back blade has them pointing in and my mowers point out! Makes it hard to use the stab bars. Will change the back blade before I use it again!
