8n oil pressure gauge

got a 8n today runs great oil pressure gauge did not work so put a new one on and a 2nd new one still not working so I start the tractor with oil line off the gauge and oil flows out nicely so what can it be thanks cdv

I would hook a known accurate gauge to it and see what the
pressure is. Wouldn't want to risk having flow but low pressure.

Once that's known, what range do the new gauges have?
If they are the x00 type gauges that go up to 80 psi, maybe
they won't register OP as low as what an 8N is actually producing.
Hopefully your OP isn't really that low, but the first mark on those
is 20 psi IIRC. I've seen Ns run with OP less than that.
