I have 2 8N's. One is currently not running. The starter locked up and I just haven't had time to mess with it.
Both are early models, front mount.
Now both need some work on the hydraulics. The running one has some steering issues too. I'm starting to see my way clear into getting the other one running. I cannot afford to not have at least one operational.
So here is what I'm thinking. Take the non runner, pull the top cover, replace the piston and whatever else needs done. Go through the pump and get it set to go. Pop the other cover off the runner and install the repaired cover on the runner. At the same time pull the steering gear box, new bushing and seals and get one up and good. Then as time permits do all the bad repairs to the non runner.
I really could use both right about now.
Any input gladly accepted. Wish a 2000 was in this years budget. But I need another tractor in the 70-100 hp range first!
