Help! wagner loader removal

Hi, I'm new to the forum and I'm looking for some answers to my problem. I have a 53 naa Ford tractor and in the process of changing engines. Before I can accomplish my task I have to remove the front end loader off of the tractor. Does anyone know how to disengage the pump drive from the front drive off of the tractor.. Much appreciated, Andy.

On most that I have worked on you simply unbolt the pump and then pull it out of the spline hub that the drive shaft fits into.

A splined stinger shaft (pump drive) that has been in place many years can have very worn splines. That in effect locks them in place when trying to pull straight out. Splines may also be rusted. I had that problem with my Wagner loader on my 8N.
I sprayed the splines with a penetrant (use your favorite). After soaking and additional applications, I wiggled the shaft around as much as I could. Then, I applied a pipe wrench to the shaft and gave it several hard snaps in the same direction as engine rotation. It came loose.
The splines were so worn that they were almost gone but the unworn area the penetrated beyond the drive collar was not worn and acted as a lock until I rotated the shaft to align with the pulley drive. hth

Welcome to the forum.
If you have trouble getting the splined shaft to pull out, you
should have a flexible coupler in the shaft that you can take apart.
It would look similar to this one new. Link
Here's the one on the front of my Jubilee to see it "in place".
Hopefully your pump is mounted differently. LOL
