reveleable drag bucket

when I got this drag bucket I thought it was reversible, it looks like it is set up to drive over what you want to pick up and I want to back into what I want to pick up can I change it and what do I have to do. also does the adjustable bar shown in the picture go from bucket to pin at end of large spring on tractor? it looks like there are pins holding all movable pars onto bucket im not too good at tis yet pictures would help if anyone has them.

That is a Dearborn 19-6 rear scoop.
It is not reversible but does a great job of digging going forward.
I used one to remove large mounds of tailings from a swamp I dug out.

" does the adjustable bar shown in the picture go from bucket to pin at end of large spring on tractor?"

Yes.

It's called a "top link". It's adjustable in order to set the angle of the implement you are using.

The large spring on the tractor is called the draft spring.

Before you hook up the top link to the tractor, see tip # 34 at the link.

Bruce the one thing that you for got to add to those 75 points is..."The Humanities of Life" everything else you got covered.

thanks for the information on the drag link, but is anyone familiar with this type of bucket? can it be hooked up to back into a pile of dirt say rather than run over it. thanks.

thanks for the info ultra dog, that's about what I figured when looking at it, I guess you also put on the side bars so it will pull straight and not want to bend off to the side. am going to giver it a try

where exactly should the top link go, I get that pulling a drag scoop is NOT light work. im not up on names of tractor hitch points so if I don't use top hole then I must use the pin by drag spring.

Tip 34 says "The top hole on the three-point rocker..."

Does your rocker have 3 holes for attaching the top link or only one?

If it only has one hole for attaching the top link, then that's the one you use.

You do know that you will need to buy link pins to hold the top link to the implement and the rocker, right?

great picture, I only have the one pin placement right by draft spring, I don't have the stack of 3 pin placements must be broken off.

rocker by draft spring has pin , top link has one in it although I thing is has threads instead of cotter pins to secure it although it looks same diameter of other pins.
