Rebuilding my 9n. Pulled everything apart and bought a rebuild kit from YT.com. Problem is my old sleeves have no shoulder on top and the outside diameter is ten thou larger than the new ones. What do I do now? Thanks for any info.

What are the measurements on your sleeves/bores?
I'm just wondering if you can use .090 sleeves.

Tisco??? Could be the problem....Like Royse said,
please share tell us the measurements of bores and
sleeves..

My old sleeves have an OD of 3.377
New sleeves from tisco have an OD of 3.367
My bore measures at 3.373. Is that not standard for a 9n unsleeved bore? My serial number appears to be 9NT98487. Thanks

Can one buy a .010 oversized O.D. sleeve
or does one have to bore again to accommodate an available oversize?

The nominal OEM cylinder bore on the N-series is 3.1875.

With .040 wall sleeves the nominal block bore is 3.1875 +.040 +.040 = 3.2675

With .090 wall sleeves the nominal block bore is 3.1875 + .090 + .090 = 3.3675

Your block bore is nominally .005 over stock .090 wall replacement sleeves. You can get .005 over sleeves that MAY work but you are dealing with an interference fit of .001 and on something non-standard like this there is always the chance that the interference fit will be loose. I don't know what YT's policy is on returning them if they will not work and at $42 each it's a $175+ investment. IMO your best bet is to take the block to a machine shop and let them fit custom sleeves.
