Ok, took side cover off, drained a bunch fluid and found a large stream coming from rear of pump real close to inspection cover. It appears to be below a square headed plug and I presume this to be the safety valve. When I shut tractor down the fluid kept coming till load sat on ground.
Does any one have a picture showing valve still in pump? Maybe sitting on the bench.
At least I know what wrench I get to farmerize :)
All I have been able to find in FO4 and other site's how-to section shows exploded views and Utube shows nothing.
Thanks again, Norm

Here is your picrure - stolen from Bruce ;-)

If you have a leak anywhere close to the square head pipe plugs you probably have a blown chamber gasket or a cracked pump.

Looks like right side valve chamber gasket is blown out so pump gotta come out. Plan on replacing relief valve while in there as all ways see post suggesting it. Might as well pull top cover and replace piston with NAA piston too as long as cylinder is OK. In for a dime in for a dollar. Now if PTO shaft isn't bent seems like a few hour job.

Hmmmmm! Can I get to the 3pt lift pins while in there?? They do need snugging up.

Brakes? This ole girl has brakes?

Until I had to replace radiator this past spring the plan was to do brakes, axle seals and lift top and pump.
Just can no longer tolerate rotory mower dragging across yard and driveway while parking it at an idle. I'm robbing Peter to pay Paul for this repair.

Plus I broke my chain first time I used mower this year thus put ZaneThang on.
