I like the new tractor tips. I did not know that the list was expanded to 75.

I have not heard about Howard auxiliary transmissions.

I have been researching sherman transmissions and it would be interesting if someone could add sherman transmission tips the list

I assume the battery is good because the lights work and I measure 6 volts with the multimeter when it is loaded and unloaded.

I tried to jump the tractor with a 12 V and still nothing happened

All connections are clean and tight.

Starters do go bad. Did you jump to battery to battery which is a no no or did you jump it right to the starter?? If to the starter did you get a spark when you did so?? If no spark the starter may have lost a good ground. By the way one should never hook a 12 volt battery to a 6 volt battery the 6 volt could blow up in your face and that can equal not ever seeing again

I jumped both ways. I got spark when I jumped battery to battery.

I did not get spark when I jumped it straight to starter.

I am aware that it is dangerous to jump battery to battery. I always wear eye protection. Thank you for the warning.

Do you think it is my starter?

Maybe the starter or the starter ground or a weak 6 volt battery. With out a true load test a battery can read 6 volts but not have the amps to spin a starter

I'm not sure that the advice you're getting here is very helpful.

I suggested that you charge the battery & check it w/ a hydrometer. You said " I assume the battery is good because the lights work and I measure 6 volts with the multimeter ".

That's not a reasonable assumption.

You could easily have a discharged battery.
