Just removed right side inspection cover on 43 2N to see what can be seen. There is a little bit of fluid coming from piston (while still cold only about 1 drip every 2-4 seconds) however there is much turbulance in the sump. Movement looks like the outlet on a swimming pool cleaner. Not knowing how much turbulance is normal, should I presume the safety valve is bad?
With a 5' rotory mower installed and only about 4-5 minutes running time I shut it off and mower dropped like a rock. I did notice fluid drips from piston more like 2 every second.
I am leary of sticking my hand in there while running to feel if anything coming from safety valve area.
I can only afford to fix/replace one or the other right now.
Thank You for the help in advance,
Norm
