OT 8 wide flat drive belt sources

Adopted Thresher. Old 100' X 8" loaner belt gave out. Need a replacement-used or new. Searching on web has not produced. Does anybody know of a manufacture or supplier ?

Just take a digital picture of the material and the way it's stitched on the ends where it's joined. measure the length from join to join and the width to the 1/16" and the thickness. They can duplicate it.

If you aren't picky about the material and can wait they may be able to get you 100's of feet of used belting but be careful about the weight of the material. I don;t know farm equipment gery well but I see a lot of old machines have cantilevered pulleys with no bearing support on one side and the weight of a too heavy belt could ruin the shafts and bearings. that being said the material you likely need is common even today.

Page Belting in Concord NH.

Great company. Until a few years ago they were still in an old brick civil-war era building, where they"d been for the last 100 or so years. Going to buy a flat belt was like a trip back in time. Page has since relocated to a modern building, alas, but the old brick building can be seen from Rt93, with the name still on the tower.

TSC USED to sell flat belting. .. at least in my area. havn't looked lately as I don't use it.
