Yet another new member

Hi Folks,

I have been following the site for awhile but this is my first post.

New member Rodeo Man's post has inspired me to post and say "Hi."

I learned to drive at age 8 on a 9N and bought this 8N from my very dear 94 year old neighbor and friend, Royal, who is in the picture. He bought this '51 new in 1951 and I am honored to now have care taking responsibilities.

Everything works and I have already picked up lights and a bumper.

oops, no pic. I will work on that.

OK, I've done the test thing a bunch but will try to post a pic again later.

Anyway, Hi and nice to be here.

Welcome to the forum!
Sometimes it takes a bit before you can post a pic.
Not a big deal. We'll be here. :)

Welcome to the board. Sounds like you have a well taken care of
tractor. Don't find many these days you can buy for the original
owner. Don't guess he still had the sell receipt? Hope you enjoy it.

Finally figured out that my picture was too big. I resized it and here is my new classic ride.

That's a great looking classic in deed!
Don't let those two young hooligans in
the picture scratch the paint! ;)

I am another new member of the forum. I purchased a 1952 8N for $1500 a couple of months ago, and after a little work, it still has a few issues but otherwise runs well. I mainly use it with an old John Deere five-foot mower, but it also has a working front-end loader on it, plus, it has new tires. Leaks a fair amount of hydraulic oil. His (the tractor's) name is "Rusty".... ;>) I'm sure I'll have a lot of questions in the future, so thanks in advance to everyone for bearing with me.

Welcome Shawn. Running 8N with new tires is a good deal.
Even in my neck of the woods where they don't sell as well.
Feel free to ask away, although I would start a your own thread.
Include as much detail as you can, including where it is leaking.
They don't charge us by the word here on YT. :)
Pictures help a lot too. You'd be surprised what guys will pick out!

Hey, welcome aboard. Lots of good information here. I like the history of yours, and that you consider yourself "The caretaker". My 8n is about all I've used since it came home.

Very nice and in great shape. If you can, take a picture with the original owner on her. Some day you will be glad you did.

You caught the N bug.
