Hello guy's. Would anyone out there have an idea
where I could get the bottom half of a bearing block
for a Dearborn lift-e disc?I just need the bottom
but would purchase both halves if need be.

Thanks

Longbowsteve

I'm not familiar with that particular disc, but I found a new block
for my disk on eBay. It wasn't listed with a make or model, but
the dimensions were the same and it has worked fine.
Worth a shot if you can't find it and haven't yet tried a generic search.

I have a half, not sure if its top or bottom. How can you tell??? It has square holes for the carriage bolt and a zerk hole. It is a Dearborn part 112-707. Let me know if you can use it.

Thanks for the replies. I will look tomorrow ,Tom, and see which half has the grease fitting and reply back. Also I will keep an eye open on ebay.

Thanks again,

Steve

Steve, I just looked at the instruction and operating manual for the lift-E disc and it looked like the grease fitting in on the lower. Check it out for sure and drop me an e-mail. Tom...

Tom, I just got back in from looking at my disc.It is a Dearborn LIFT-E model. The bottom half of the bearing assy is approx. 5" long with the bolt holes approx. 3" apart. You are correct, the grease fitting is in the bottom half. The casting # on mine is DMC111780 0r maybe DMC177780. I was having a hard time reading it upside down in the dark barn.Does this sound like what you have? If so, would you be willing to sell it, and how much with shipping.

Thank you very much.

Steve

Steve, I just looked up the numbers that I have on the bearing cap, 112-707 and its for a "G" series type disc. It is about 5" long and the spacing is about 3" for the bolt holes, did they make them all pretty much the same, don't know. If your still interested in it you can have it for the cost of shipping. I think my e-mail is open, just drop me a line with your address and I'll let you know what shipping is. Tom

Tom, the outside dimensions sound about right. I am not familiar with the G series disc. Any idea how far apart the grooves are on the inside? Some of the old disc's had wooden bearings, and some had iron. Kind of hard to believe they would change the casting #'s if they were the same part. Also the grease fitting is facing the back of the disc.
Really appreciate the offer, but like to be as sure as we can before putting you thru the bother.
I would email you, but don't know your address. I could post mine if that wouls help.

Thanks again, Steve

Steve, I'll tell you what, if you give me your address as I can't figure out how show you mine, I'll ask my wife to post a picture of it for you with a tape measure to help you in your decision. I have a lift-E also and I put this one up next to the lower cap on my disc and boy its really close almost perfect. Can't tell if the depth of the grooves are the same or not but outside dimension is pretty close. Tom..
