whats ford 9n worth well it was a 3 speed but front spindeles were 8n . and it looked like it had a posion control lever hoods of no spark the owner said . but it had car plug wires . one knew rear tire other is weather checked front are car tires . tin is not to terrible he wants 600$ I was thinking 300-400 $ and I told my wife I could get it running and make $ ha ha

I think you got it about right. A non-running tractor is a gamble.
Most would say scrap price I think.
Tires are a huge expense, batteries aren't cheap either, etc.
It would be possible to put a 8N top cover with position control
and pump in a 9N with a 3 speed I think. If you changed it all.
8N hubs and rims will fit on a 9N/2N also.

i wouldn't pay more than the 300-400 you were thinking of.

as said. 8n hubs fit. and an 8n pump and hyd top cover will fit a 9n center housing.
