One of the first uses for Brave Little Toaster was to lift my wife's JD "compact micro-tractor 2210" to pull the deck off.

(quoted from post at 17:58:09 07/21/14) I just saw a device in Home Depot that can do that same task for only $200!

But if you already have the tractor and loader, why spend another $200 for something that is very limited in what it can be used for?

Totally. That's the whole idea behind owning an 8N on a 20-acre farm with three horses. I found more uses for that little tractor in a week than I ever thought possible. Then I started buying implements.....

And just today I saw a thread about someone using a plow to trench for electrical...which we need to do soon back to our new lean-to.

a light duty loader can be a very usefull tool.

I took a boom pole and chained it into the bucket of one of my loaders to get the elevation i needed to set a topper i made onto the rops on my 4600

Actually, here's the first task the 8N performed after it came to our farm....

I was very concerned about doing this safely. What doesn't show in the pic is the huge pond behind the tractor. I dug the rear blade in to keep it from rolling back (brakes don't seem to hold going in reverse?!). After I raised the FEL as high as it would go, I had to move the 8N backwards to get the pole in the box, that was a bit tricky.

Who made that loader? I have a dearborn 19-22 on my 8n, it's a real pain crawling up and over everytime i need to get on and off.

Wagner. I get in on the left side, no probs. My only complaint with it is aesthetics. It looks like a jungle gym. Plus no down-force.

Looks like it'd be a pain to get under the hood but I suppose most loaders make it difficult. I could definitely use hydraulics to the buckets itself. Good pictures.
