Sherman step up. yes please

I"m about halfway done with the restoration on my "45 2N,
putting engine together now. I know if I finish this tractor and
put it to work I am going to kick myself for not installing a
Sherman step up in it before I bolt the engine on. Love to have a
Combination trans but the budget wont allow.
Where to look for one, what to look for in a good one, and what
is the going price for one in useable decent condition?
Thanks
Corey

I, too, would grab Hobo's if you want one.
I've torn down a few junk tractors for a local parts seller. He usually gets about that much for ones I consider junk when I pull them.

(quoted from post at 14:34:16 07/21/14) How easy is the install on one of these?

as long as splitting the tractor doesnt frighten you, its not hard at all.

I just did mine about a month ago. it took me about 5-6 to split the tractor, and hour to clean/install sherman, and i could have had the tractor back together the next day if i wanted. So its doable in a weekend.

I did some cleaning/painting while mine was apart, so all told I was apart about a week.
