So I just pick one of these up on Friday. pretty neat!

mine appears to have everything except for the original top link.

three questions-
1- what was the original pain color for these? Red same as the 8N?
2- what years were these things made? were they made with the 8Ns, or do they originate with the 9n?

3- anyone know where I could find the original top link for this blade?

Nice find!
Since they only made Dearborn implements from about 1948 till about 1955 or so it has to be from that time frame.
They would have been painted the same vermillion red as the 8N/Jubes.
I painted mine Blue to match my tractor.
They are Very cool blades. A little jewel. Have huge Timkin swivel bearings and the handle so you can adjust the angle from the seat.
I used to have a Dearborn/Danuser 19-16 and liked it a lot. But I sold it when I found a Case/Danuser that was a bit heavier and 8' instead of 6'
Then I sold that as it was still a little light and bought a real heavy 8' cat II blade which is what I'm using on my bigger tractor now.
Danuser also built them for Farmall with the Fast Hitch.
Can't help you with where to find an original top link.
Ed Gooding has both the original owner/operator's manuals and the the parts manuals on the other N site.
Here are some photos.

thanks for the pics.

I assumed it was probably red, as I found the originally owners manual on the other site, and it was dated 1952.

The only thing mine needs is a new cutting edge. it was busted when i got it, so I removed it for now, i figure I can move dirt without it if need be.

and yes these giant bearings are great. mine moved freely as soon as i tried it out. the only thing frozen was the pin for reversing the blade, but a hammer and some wd40 and it works like new again.

also, I was thinking about adding stabilizer bars to keep the plow from swaying, but since i have the dearborn front snow blade (which requires removing stabilizer brackets for plow pivot brackets) I dont think I can use stabilizer bars without always swapping brackets?

bumping this back up for two questions:

1- anyone ever used stabilizer bars with the dearborn snow plow brackets(you have to remove the under axle brackets and replace them for the snow blade)?

2- where can I get a new cutting edge for this back blade? all the ones I seem to find online are like $100+
