I bought this little 8n about a month ago. I had been wanting one for years. I was just driving down the road, a couple of counties over, and saw it for sale on the side of the road. The story goes that the mans neighbor inhereted it, and had no use for it. The gentleman I purchased it from, seemed like a trader. I'm not sure how reliable that story is. I have $1500 for it, and 5ft rotary cutter. The serial number makes it to be a 52 model. It appears to be mostly original. One head light, is slightly different than the other, but is obviously pretty old. The latch on the battery cover is not original. The sheet metal seem perfect, and appears to not have any body filler in it. I am ashamed to say that I am a farmer, and have very little mechanical ability. I have had the alternator rebuilt, and replaced the sedement bulb, and fuel line. The tires look they are in really good shape. It has actually became my go to tractor, if I think it will do the job. The rotary cutter can be adjusted down to mow almost as close as my lawn mower. I have been using it to shine around my barns, instead of wearing out my mower. It is also great to pull a little cultivator with to work my arena. I would like to really restore it, but I'm afraid I wouldn't want to use it any more.
