Finally finished the 8n. Ended up realizing the hood was for a 9/2n so the new 8n grill would not fit. Thankfully we had a nice grill for it sitting outside. The hood was a purchase off ebay as the hood it came with had a hole cut in the top of the air cleaner. The seller had it listed as an 8n hood. Learned my lesson there. Finished touch up paint yesterday and will get it out of the shop today.

So impressive that you even had a visiting extraterrestrial admirer dazzled by it -- in pics 1 and 4! :D

How much paint would you guesstimate that it took to do the rear rims and wheel disks -- hardener and reducer included? I'm doing that today and am a painting amateur. I want to make sure I don't mix up more than I need for 2 coats.

Cheers,
Terry

We reduced it 4:1 and the hardner 16:1 probably took
less than half gallon with 1 coat. He used a paint
gun to spray it on.

Lisa,
Looks great! You took the time to do it right.
As for the buzz saw blade we talked about this spring, the owner decided to keep the blade. I tried to help ya!!

I meant, how much paint for just the rear rims and disks.

Thanks,
