[b:92f8ee12ce][i:92f8ee12ce]As we had snow/ice/& wind damage, to our two tent sheds this last winter......this is what I came up with for the 4 wheeler and summer deck chairs, plus room to store the snowblower!!!
Not quite finished, but you get the drift!!!

Next up.....closing off the back wall with siding T&G...laying the pallets on the ground for a movable flooring....installing a zipper door at the shed front!!!!
Then hopefully to withstand our winters with a good covering of stain. Next yr., $$ for a tin roof.
Hope to have time to cover/replace the roof canvas, over Hermies parking tent, with the same kind of T&G roof,(got pretty tore up, during my stay with the wife at the hospital, this last yr.!!

Taking Leslie to Spokan, Wa...7-28-14, for a Dr. consultation on her sholder replacement. Hope they can sched. the operation ASAP!!!?????

I really like the shed as SadieMae still needs a roof. Hope you dont mind I borrow the idea.
Wishing the best for the Dr's visit and a speedy recovery.

GB,
Just a thought, is the roof system going to hold up to the snows you get out there?? Just built a 12x16 steel building for my HD3 and am concerned about extra truss support.
Mr. T. Minnesota

Looking good Gary! How big did you make it?
Is it big enough to put a brace to the ground in the middle?
Just in case? Probably could put one at the back at least?
Looks like you have a decent pitch on the roof.
Snow will probably slide pretty good with a steel/tin roof.
Anyone around there sell used steel? There are a few around here.
Best wishes to both you and Les. Glad to see you're out and about!

For Mr.T, and Royse!!

Well guys.....this is a trial and error?? Using the pipe for the frame. May, or May not work, for the snow load!!???? But after the roof was put on, my son and I, both, got up on it, and with the struts...( 'A-frame type trussing), and using tounge& groove boards, the shed is VERY sturdy, and we think it will actually be stronger, by far, than the cavas siding and roof, and that lasted for 5yrs, so long as I kept the snow load pulled off the roof!!
We will see.........!!!!! MMMV, I'll let ya know after the next snow season!!!!?????????????????????????

Gary, glad to see you are doing good. Hope everything goes good with Leslie.

I was thinking about your new shed, What if you put some black plastic over the top? Snow then should slide right off. On the outside you could add some flying buttresses light the gothic churches have. that would keep the side posts from pushing out. I recon if enough snow comes off the top that will do the same thing!

Anyway, I am just sitting here thinking and everytime i do much of that I get in trouble!!

Mornin' RG;
Don't think the side will move...the feet are attached to cut 2x6, and nailed into the ground with 1 ft. galvinized structure/tent nails!!!!
BUT.......NEVER say can't!!!!!!????

Very nice Gary. Looks to me like it would take a good snow load but I flunked engineering when I was in law school. I suppose if you wanted a little more assurance you could always add some gussets. Could make them out of empty LEINENKUGELS cans.
Best wishes to Leslie and you.

No doubt it will be stronger than the canvas!
Most of those don't last long around here.
I lucked out with mine, it lasted over 10 years
but had to be replaced this year.
