Sherman Power Digger

Just came across and bought sight unseen a very nice looking Sherman power digger. The seller was very nice and sent me many picts of her. He had bought it a few years back but never got around to using it so it sat covered. Seems like the PO before the seller took good care of her also and re-painted her.

My question is does anyone know where the model plate is located. I am almost sure that its a 54B from the picts. It was mounted on a 1952 NAA originally.

Some of the cylinders are leaking fluid so I probably may want to rebuild them. Any suggestions on who may sell the wipes and packing's for the cylinders?

Thanks much

Any good hydraulic shop should be able to get the parts you need to reseal it.

1952 NAA no such thing. Jubilee came out in 1953 an the NAA on 54 both pretty much the same but not due to the year. I.E. Jubilee was the 50 year anniversary tractor and the NAA the year after. A 1952 tractor would be a 8N

Old ... Thanks and I hear ya. Just repeated what he said.

None-the-less, still trying to figure out where the model and serial numbers are located on this thing.

Flat head engine or over head valve?? If a flat head the numbers will be on the left side of the engine just below the head about middle. If over head valve the number will be on the bell housing just under the battery

You must be gettin' "old". :D

Greywolf is only looking for model data on the Sherman Digger itself, not for data on whatever tractor the loader used to be on.

If on the hoe it self there should be a number plate. Do not remember where it is and I'll not dig out the one I have to find it
